Tonight I went to uptown and had a lovely dinner at The King’s Kitchen
This restaurant is pretty cool. It is non-profit and they donate their extra money to feed the less fortunate. They also cook with local food. You can read more about it on their website.
We got fried oysters as an appetizer.
I ordered fried chicken, green beans, collard greens and macaroni and cheese.
We split their chocolate peanut butter crunch cake with vanilla gelato on the side. I cannot express how good it was. We inhaled it.
We really liked this restaurant and would probably eat here again. Some restaurants in uptown are dark and crowded inside but The King’s Kitchen was open and full of light. The food was good, the prices seemed reasonable and proceeds from your meal go to a good cause. Go eat there!
