In case you’re wondering, I’m still alive down here in North Carolina ;)
I have not updated because I have reached the maximum space for pictures through this blogger account. I discovered this after I spent all evening designing an updated header back in July :( There’s some way to get more space but I haven’t had the time to figure it out yet.
This summer is officially coming to a bittersweet end. It has been busy and eventful but still fun and relaxing. Finishing summer classes, attending a few more concerts (Luke Bryan / Jason Aldean and Little Big Town / Rascal Flatts), vacationing in Charleston, and planning a surprise party for my mom’s bday are just some of the things that have been going on since I last updated.
Speaking of classes, I have officially entered the final stretch of my didactic program in dietetics! I started classes today and decided to stick with all 5:
- Medical Nutrition Therapy 2
- Management of Food Service Systems
- Research in Nutrition & Dietetics
- Seminar in Dietetics & Nutrition
- Nutrition Counseling & Education
I can’t tell you how many times I went back and forth about dropping a few classes and finishing the program this spring. I know how hard it is going to be to take so many classes and work full-time, and trust me, I’m dreading it! I weighed the pros and cons and ultimately decided to stick with my original plan of finishing in December. I know I can push through 4 more months of classes but prolonging the program 5 additional months on top of that is really not an option for me. I also would have finished school in May and probably began a dietetic internship right after that, and I really need a few months to just recharge my mental battery.
