I was too tired last night to do a Friday Fives post. This past week has been kind of crazy because I presented at a workshop and started my training at the hospital. I was exhausted last night!
This morning we had a follow-up at the vet for Lily’s knee. Everything looks good although she has some muscle atrophy. She doesn’t have to stay crated during the day so hopefully she will get more use out of it every day. Lily had a growth on her paw that we noticed had gotten bigger. I was really worried that it was a tumor but when they stuck her with a needle to biopsy it, they realized it was just a sac that needed to be drained. Wooooooo, sigh of relief right there.
The only other thing going on is that we had a dinner date at Chima today.
I have been busy working on my new blog. I’m hoping that it will go live it in the next month. I have always used Blogger but this time I bought a domain and am writing through WordPress using Windows Live Writer. It is a huge change to what I’m used to, and I want to make sure I’m comfortable with everything before I advertise it for others to read. After using Windows Live Writer, I can’t believe I have been blogging with Blogger for so long.
Unlike this blog, which has primarily been about day-to-day life, my new blog is going to be focused on nutrition. Because of this, I’m trying to make sure everything is well-written, thought out and of course accurate. This will also be the perfect opportunity to brush up on my photography skills as well.
I submitted my professional development portfolio last week (which got approved yesterday, yay!) and my 5-year goal was to start a nutrition blog that has at least 100 readers per post. I actually hope to have many more readers than that but I wanted to make sure I set a goal that I could meet :)
