Hey! Hope you’re having a great evening. I don’t know about you but I’m glad to have Monday under my belt.
So this blog is still fairly new and I’m working on getting into a better routine of posting. I get asked for meal pattern recommendations fairly often, so I thought it would be fun if I posted what I ate for the day every Monday.
A couple of things that I try to keep in mind with my food… I try to include several servings of fruits and vegetables throughout the day. I keep a bag of almonds in my desk at work and usually incorporate them into my breakfast. I almost always have a piece of fresh fruit at some point in the morning. Dinner is typically my largest meal of the day so I generally don’t have a heavy breakfast or lunch. For lunch, I usually pack leftovers or buy something from the school cafeteria. Dinner is usually a protein + grain + vegetable.
Soooo here’s what I ate today:
Breakfast– pear w/ almonds & coffee
Morning snack- not really a snack but I had a cup of hot tea
Lunch– turkey & cheese sub from the school cafeteria, vegetable soup made by a coworker (sorry for the awkward soup pic!)
Afternoon snack– glass of milk when I was waiting for K to get home from work
Dinner– baked chicken, roasted brussel sprouts, quinoa
Evening snack– tangerine
