Hey there! Hope you had a great weekend.
Mine was busy but fun! My friend and I went down to the Taste of Charlotte on Saturday. This was basically like a food festival with lots of other interesting vendors set up along the way. I ended up trying some crab cakes and mac & cheese, and I enjoyed stopping by all of the booths!
MSNBC was there with their Hope Garden and that was pretty cool. You could write down your hope and attach it to a little flower that then gets planted in their garden. They are going around the country collecting hopes and it was neat to read what everyone had written. We didn’t enter our hope because we didn’t realize what it was all about until we had already walked through. This is what I wish I had written:
My hope is that one day, every child in the United States can grow up without experiencing hunger.
Afterwards, we sat outside enjoyed some Citrus Mojitos at Mimosa Grill! It was a fun day.
Today has been pretty low-key. We went grocery shopping and I stopped by the bike shop to get a new helmet. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I had enough cash back points to get my helmet for free! Yay.
I rarely say this but I’m not really looking forward to this week… it’s the last week of school, which is an extremely busy time of year with closing down kitchens. I’m teaching a 3-day ServSafe class as well, and I have to be on the road by 6am tomorrow. I Oh, and I also have to go to the doctor tomorrow. Good times
Have a great Monday!!
