Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy there! How is your 2015 going so far?
We started out New Year’s day with brunch at Vivace. We had a few gift cards to use up and their brunch is amazing, so it was a fun way to start the new year.
We got calamari as an appetizer, and I got their sausage frittata as my main course with a blackerry basil martini on the side. This girl loves a good martini.
Then we walked over to Target because I needed new undershirts for work. I was only in the store long enough to try on a few shirts, get a new toothbrush and check out. Once I got outside, I realized I was missing my sunglasses (polarized Ray Bans), which were on top of my head when I went in the store.
Now before I sound completely materialistic, my sunglasses have a lot of sentimental value to me and I am usually very careful with them. I was really upset when I realized I had lost them, especially since I knew I had JUST had them. I checked the fitting room 3 times, retraced my steps, and talked to a store manager. Store security looked on their security footage but didn’t see anything, and also looked in the fitting room. They were gone I was so upset. I was thinking that 2015 was not getting off to the best start…
Then later that night, the security guy from Target called me and told me someone had just turned in my glasses!! I was completely shocked because I definitely didn’t think I was ever going to see them again. I hopped right in my car and went to midtown to pick them up. So thank you so much to whoever out there found them and turned them in!
*Thankfully* the rest of the weekend was uneventful. I took down Christmas decorations (what little we had, anyway), worked on some blog stuff and went grocery shopping. Definitely tried to stock the fridge with lots of healthy options for the week!
So this past weekend, I was thinking about 2015 and how I would really like to work on my health and fitness (even though I didn’t make any New Year’s Resolutions). I decided that I’d like to think of a new goal each Sunday of something to focus on for that specific week. I sit down every Sunday evening (with my EC planner, of course ) and plan out my week anyway, so setting some sort of goal to work on fits right in with that routine. I don’t have any specific criteria for my goals but I’m sure a lot of them will revolved around exercise, nutrition, cleaning and organizing.
For this week, I’m going to focus on my water intake. I am usually pretty good about drinking plenty of water, but like many things, this kind of fell to the wayside during the holidays. I realized on Saturday that I have not been drinking enough water lately and felt really dehydrated. I’m most diligent about drinking enough water when I have a water bottle with me all the time, so I’ve pulled them all out and they are ready to go for this week!
If you made them, how are your New Year’s Resolutions coming along?
What are some of your goals for 2015?
Did you do anything fun this weekend?
I pulled out all of
I’m the same way with my water intake. A bottle really helps. When I’m at work I easily drink 3 large bottles before I leave but weekends are more of a challenge.
I am the exact same way when I’m at work.
Having my Camelbak filled up and with me at all times really helps me drink a lot of water thought the day!
I haven’t decided if I’m going to make New Years Resolutions or not, which I feel like means I’m not since it’s already the 5th haha!
