If you know me then you know I’m a huge fan of the Camelback Eddy water bottles. I like the shape/size and prefer these when I’m at the gym and at work.
A common complaint I hear about them is that they are so hard to clean. I can see where that complaint is coming from, so I wanted to share a few tips I use.
The first is to disassemble the bottle (remove the straw, lid and rubber mouthpiece) every evening after use. In other words, do not let your bottle sit on the counter full of water for days at a time. This will prevent mold from growing.
And my secret tip is to let the mouthpieces soak in white vinegar for a little bit and then rinse really well with water. It’s really hard to clean up inside of there, and this is a safe (and chemical-free) way to make sure you’re killing all of the bacteria. I will typically stick them in a juice glass with vinegar and let them soak while I’m washing dishes. Then I just rinse them at the end. The vinegar taste/smell does not stick with them, I promise
If you have any other tips for cleaning water bottles or anything similar, I would love to hear them!
Have a great day! <3
