Hey guys!
I feel like I have completely fallen off of the face of blogging earth. I’m so sorry! I have been primarily focused on a presentation I’m doing for work. It’s today around lunch time! Wish me luck. But here’s an update of some things that have been going on in my world lately…
Scooter Life
I’ve survived my first week of non-weight bearing activity. I’m really good at work about using my scooter but find it hard to be compliant at home. I have stairs on my front porch and it’s hard to get my scooter in and out of the car, so I mostly stick to crutches at home. And they are not my fav. I’m trying to do a lot better this week, though.
Lily
One sad thing is that Lily had to go stay with her dad for a little bit until I’m somewhat mobile again. It was just too much for me to try to walk her and deal with the steps. I’m hoping I will see some improvements in my foot in the next few weeks and maybe she came come back to me <3 I miss my sidekick.
Best Sister Ever
My house was becoming a bit of a hot mess and my sister drove 2+ hours to help me clean this weekend. She deep-cleaned my bathroom and kitchen, vacuumed, and helped me grocery shop. Best sista eva.
Sorry to keep this post short but I promise to be back sometime soon with regular posting. Have a nice day!!!
That’s great that your sister is able to help out! I don’t know how you are doing it with no weight bearing… how has driving been?
I was worried about work but work has been a breeze with my scooter. The hospital has ramps and elevators. Home has been hard with my crutches. And then when I go out, esp into charlotte, I’ve sometimes been noncompliant :(
I’m glad the scooter is helping! How long do you have to be non-weight bearing?
6 weeks total so until thanksgiving
