It’s hard to believe that it has been 2 YEARS since I sat at my computer and wrote my very first post at Grapefruit & Granola! I remember marking this occasion last year, and it’s fun to think my little slice of internet heaven is still hangin’ out in the blogosphere.
There are many things that happened in year #2 that I’m celebrating today:
My readership has more than doubled in the past year
My blog pays for itself now <—this is always good
I’ve connected with many amazing blogging gals
The food adventures continue
I still love being a dietitian
2015 was filled with lots of laughter, tears, happiness, sadness, recovery, rehabbing and taking it one day at a time many days at a time. It was through sharing life’s ups and downs that I saw how kind the health & fitness blogging community can be and how much a simple blog post can resonate with someone going through something similar.
Thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing <3
What I learned about growing my blog in the 2nd year
If there is one thing I’ve learned in my 2nd year of blogging, it’s to be authentic. There are tons of workout blogs out there. Even more food blogs. There is only one you. So don’t be afraid to be yourself! People might stop by your blog 1 time from a pin on pinterest or a link that your blogging buddy shared, but they will come back because of you.
Hopes for Year #3
My main idea with starting a blog was to show people that living a healthy lifestyle does not have to be hard or complicated. My hope for 2016 is that my blog posts will continue to reflect that.
Thanks for hanging out with me these past two years. Let’s hope that the best is yet to come. Cheers!
