So after a lengthy 2 weeks, I’ve decided to change my Friday Fives post to a Friday Chats instead. That way I’m not always stuck with 5 things. So let’s chat instead!
Florida
B and I were able to fly down to Florida last Friday for a long weekend. He has some family living in Florida and his parents were there for work, so it seemed like a great opportunity to visit everyone and get a little R&R. We in Clearwater Beach to be close to his family. I had never been before but it was very quiet and peaceful!
We spent a lot of time walking around the area, shopping, trying great restaurants. We were thankful for nice weather… walking across this bridge each morning and enjoying the view with the sun was great!
I was sad to come back to a chilly North Carolina on Monday afternoon. I definitely love the warm weather!

Half Marathon Training
Thanks so much for your words of encouragement about my decision to run in my first half marathon. I’m excited! Today was my 2nd week of training, or really I guess the 2nd week of pre-training before I start the Hal Higdon plan in a few weeks.
Any runners out there- what do you do for strength training? I’d love to stay strong and injury-free during this

Any fun plans for the weekend? I’m going to be tweaking a few things on my website and working on some marketing things
Yay for half marathon training! I always try to make sure I’m strengthening my glutes- it’s common for runners to get an injury that comes from weak glutes (I guess most of us are paying more attention to quads and hammys) so don’t forget about the booty ;)
