Hi friends! Hope you are having a great week so far.
This weekend was so much fun because we traveled back to my hometown in Virginia for a family friend’s wedding.
Our trip started on Saturday morning when we left Charlotte for the 3-hour drive. Our first stop once we got there was a restaurant called Beamer’s 25 for lunch, named after the VT football coach Frank Beamer. One of my goals in life is to convert B to a Virginia Tech fan so this restaurant seemed like a great choice.
I ordered a veggie burger with no bun and we split an order of onion rings. It was already 1pm-ish and we knew we were having a fairly early dinner, so I was trying not to have anything too, too heavy. B got a buffalo chicken pizza. We really enjoyed our food!
Then we checked into the hotel and hung out a bit before heading to downtown Roanoke a little later that evening. As I have gotten older, I’ve come to appreciate weddings that are more of a reflection of the bride and groom. This wedding was just that and completely beautiful. I grew up with the bride and her siblings, and I am so thankful that she shared her special day with us.
How is your week going so far? It is so cold and rainy here in Charlotte! Hoping it warms up soon!
Did you do anything fun this weekend?
Oh wow those onion rings… I can’t be looking at food porn like that before 8am! I need a NSFW warning next time! :D
Glad you had fun at the wedding! The bride’s dress is gorgeous and so unique!
They were so good! And gigantic :)
